Apprenticeships, Career Pathways and Workforce Development

In response to requests from members of the HR Leaders community, we are delighted to welcome Dr Jodie Bolter to our next online session.

Jodie leads systems leadership across Tudor Grange Academies Trust, with strategic oversight of apprenticeship provision across the trust. Tudor Grange has developed a well-evolved and systematic approach to career pathways and workforce development, using apprenticeships as a key driver for professional growth and organisational capacity.

During the session, Jodie will share how her Trust has developed a coherent and strategic approach to staff development, including:

• Designing and implementing career pathways across the organisation

• Developing and sourcing high-quality apprenticeship programmes for staff

• Building strong partnerships with apprenticeship and training providers

• Tracking programme engagement and workforce development impact

• Communicating opportunities through a clear apprenticeships brochure across schools

• Beginning to track key performance indicators to support wider strategic workforce planning

This session will provide valuable insight into how apprenticeship pathways can support recruitment, retention, professional development and long-term workforce planning within Multi-Academy Trusts.

Dr Bolter is also keen to meet colleagues and will be happy to answer questions and discuss approaches from across the sector.

The session will be hosted by Ben Jordan, Operations Director at Inspiring Leaders, who will chair and facilitate the discussion.
