Event overview

Session Focus: Tendering Horizons & Collaborative Procurement

Our final Procurement Partnership Network session of the year will take a highly practical and strategic focus.

This session is designed to bring MAT leaders together to openly explore:

  • What tendering activity is coming up across your Trust over the next 12–24 months

  • What significant procurement exercises you have recently completed

  • What lessons have been learned from recent tendering experiences

  • Where there may now be genuine opportunities for collaborative procurement between MATs

The session will move beyond theoretical discussion and focus on identifying real opportunities for shared working across the partnership.

Through structured discussion and collaborative planning, we will begin to explore:

  • Common contract renewal timelines

  • Shared procurement categories

  • Areas where aggregated buying power may reduce cost, workload or risk

  • Potential pilot collaborative tenders for 2026/27

This represents an important next step in the evolution of the Procurement Partnership as we move from:
➡️ procurement awareness and compliance
towards
➡️ strategic collaboration and shared procurement leadership.

Important Preparation

To ensure the session is productive, we ask all Procurement Partnership members to attend if possible and come prepared to engage fully in the discussion.

Please bring:

  • Visibility of your MAT’s current contract register or procurement pipeline

  • Awareness of upcoming tenders or renewals

  • Reflections on recent procurement exercises completed within your Trust

  • Please also come prepared to discuss the following question - "What procurement challenge are you currently facing that would benefit from being explored as a live case study or procurement surgery with CPC and other MATs?"

The answers will help us design next year's programme and ensure future sessions are driven directly by partner need.

This session forms part of our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality professional learning opportunities across our partnership. Your booking confirms your place, and we look forward to your participation.

The value of this session will come directly from openness, collaboration and shared insight across the group.

We look forward to welcoming colleagues for what should be an important and exciting discussion about the future direction of the partnership.
