Excellence in Practice Network- Visit to The Redhill Academy

Redhill Academy warmly invites you to visit as part of the Inspiring Leaders Excellence in Practice programme, to share their journey and engage in professional dialogue about all aspects of education.

Session logistics 

📅 Date: Wednesday 4th March 2026 
🕤 Time: 09:30am – 12:30pm 
📍 Venue: The Redhill Academy, Redhill Road, Arnold, Nottingham, NG5 8GX. Please park in the Leisure Centre Car Park, and go to the Redhill Training Centre on arrival (located inside the Leisure Centre entrance).

Session Details

The Redhill Academy has maintained its ‘outstanding’ status for seventeen years, covering three Ofsted frameworks, four governments, seven prime ministers and eleven education secretaries. Having a clear focus on academic achievement for all, the academy has always invested heavily in quality teaching as its core activity. It promotes an ambitious and thriving CPD environment that supports and retains staff throughout their careers.  

Clear behaviour expectations are designed to allow teachers to teach, and students to learn. A strong student leadership programme and an exceptional co-curricular offer help our students widen their opportunities and develop character, confidence and resilience.

This visit will allow you to see The Redhill Academy in action and hear from the both the Headteacher, Mike Hardy, and the CEO of the Redhill Academy Trust, Andrew Burns. Following visits into lessons around the school. Andy will outline the sustainable journey of the school which has seen Redhill Academy be judged ‘outstanding’ in three successive inspections, most recently in 2024.
