CEOs and Education Directors - Conference 1

We are delighted to invite you to our first joint conference of the 2025/26 academic year. This session offers a valuable opportunity to reconnect, collaborate, and explore strategic priorities across our MAT partnership.

Please note that the morning coincides with the DfE CEO Roundtable, which many CEOs in the north of the region are expected to attend. To accommodate this, the day has been structured to allow:

• - Education Directors and South-based CEOs to attend the full day

• - North-based CEOs to join from lunchtime onwards

MATs will be grouped by context to share their approaches and models in a peer support and challenge format.

Consultation on the future of educational study tours.

12:30 – 13:10 - Lunch & Networking

Update on the new Ofsted Handbook and Q&A.

14:00 – 15:00 - TeachMeet: “What Makes Your MAT Great?”
Each MAT leader will share:
• 3 things they are proud of or have an established approach to
• 2 things they are keen to learn from others

15:00 – 15:30 (time allowing) - Reconnecting with Priority Groups

Follow-up discussions from June’s themes: Inclusive Practice, Growth & Scaling, Digital Infrastructure, and Central Services.

15:30 - Event Close

To prepare for the TeachMeet, we ask that each MAT leader comes ready to share their 3 strengths and 2 learning interests. No PowerPoint is required - just notes to speak from. We will capture and record these contributions for future collaboration.

This is a packed and purposeful day, and we ask that every MAT is represented. The invitation is extended to each CEO (or Deputy) and Education Director (or equivalent). If you would like to request more than two places, please let us know - we will do our best to accommodate, as we did in June.
