Event overview

Focused online support for Year 6 practitioners

As the KS2 SATs period approaches, Year 6 teams are juggling high expectations with the everyday realities of classroom life.

Designed to supplement our face to face programme, these sessions are a flexible way to access the same expert input wherever you're based. Each one has a single, clear focus, giving you the chance to go deeper on a specific area of KS2 SATs preparation without it taking you away from school for long.

It's part of a growing regional programme building on last year's KS2 SATs Support Network, which brought Year 6 teachers and leaders together for expert input, practical guidance and the reassurance of knowing you're not tackling this alone.

Join Ben Burpitt, North Mead Primary, TMET, Becky Pickard and Nicole Kau, Abbey Primary, TMET, as they showcase an innovative alternative provision framework designed to help SEND pupils achieve age-related expectations. The session will explore the Specialist Plus 1 learning provision, the use of Learning Loops and the five stages of learning within every lesson, and how rigorous tracking of the lowest-attaining pupils ensures no learner falls behind. Discover how disadvantaged pupils remain at the heart of pupil progress discussions, creating a continuous cycle of support, intervention and improvement that drives success for all.
