Event overview

This Excellence in Practice Visit offers an opportunity to explore a school where the mantra ‘knowledge itself is power’ sits firmly at the heart of its educational philosophy. With a clear ambition to support students in accessing university, higher education, employment, or apprenticeships, the school is committed to enabling every young person to become the very best version of themselves – inspiring all to Dream, Believe, Achieve.

The visit will focus particularly on the school’s culture, where high expectations are underpinned by a strong sense of community, mutual support, and shared purpose. You will see how pupils are encouraged to contribute meaningfully to society, developing resilience, confidence, and a strong moral compass. The school’s approach ensures that students not only achieve excellent academic outcomes, but also leave equipped with the transferable skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing global landscape.

Through an innovative and ambitious curriculum, the school promotes high levels of attainment alongside the development of lifelong learning skills. There is a strong emphasis on social, moral, spiritual and cultural development, including a deep understanding of Fundamental British Values and global citizenship.

The school has been recognised as Strong in every area under the new Ofsted framework, making this an excellent opportunity to gain insight into a high-performing, values-driven culture in action.
