Curriculum and Pedagogy Connect Day

The Curriculum and Pedagogy Connect Day brings together subject and specialist leaders from across the partnership to focus on what matters most in their curriculum areas - from subject knowledge and pedagogical approaches to the practical realities of leading improvement in their schools.

The morning is shared by everyone. It opens with network updates and news from across the partnership before moving into a keynote from an expert voice, giving colleagues something to think about, respond to and discuss. This is followed by a practitioner-led session that roots the ideas in real experience from a school or trust context.

In the afternoon, colleagues move into their specialism groups for two hours of focused time together. The first hour covers operational matters and updates from across the MATs; the second returns to the morning's themes and explores what they mean for curriculum and pedagogical practice. The day closes with a short plenary to draw threads together and look ahead to the next gathering.
