Inclusion and SEND Connect Day

The SEND and Inclusion Connect Day brings together leaders working in Safeguarding, Inclusion and SEND from across the partnership to focus on what matters most for the children and young people in their schools - from navigating complex needs and changing policy to building inclusive cultures that work for everyone.

The morning is shared by everyone. It opens with network updates and news from across the partnership before moving into a keynote from an expert working at the forefront of inclusion and SEND, giving colleagues something to think about, respond to and discuss. This is followed by a practitioner-led session that roots the ideas in real experience from a school or trust context.

In the afternoon, colleagues move into their specialist areas for two hours of focused time together. The first hour covers operational matters and updates from across the MATs; the second returns to the morning's themes and explores what they mean for inclusion practice and the children and young people they support. The day closes with a short plenary to draw threads together and look ahead to the next gathering.
